INTRODUCTION

Battle board LRP was started by me in 1985 and a small group friends who were into role playing. I had experienced the original Treasure Trap in ‘83 and wanted to continue live role playing, as there were no clubs around at this time I started my own. By 1989 word had spread and we had about 10 regular members, we used to meet every Sunday and run 2 games at some small woodland near where I lived. It was decided in 1990 to advertise at a local games shop in Colchester to attract new members. We were swamped by new players and at our height we had about 30 regulars coming down every Sunday. In 1992 the club split, Battle Board became Mists Of Avalon and ran events with a group from Basildon called Shadows Of Sorcery. In 1994 I decided to call it a day, Shadows also closed around the same time I believe. Now myself and several original members of Battle Board have decided to start up again. So if you’re an old member or want to come along for the first time please get in touch. We will be running events around the Colchester / Chelmsford area of Essex
